Sun Runner Magazine calls its June/July 2010 printing "The Offroad Issue." Inside it looks at offroading in the California deserts, with a focus on Jawbone Canyon and California City's innovative approaches toward off-road management.

The long awaited expansion of the Jawbone Station Visitors Center is about to leap from the drawing board to the ground. Friends of Jawbone hopes to break ground as early as next month. The Visitors Center will enjoy more space for interpretive displays and visitor services, and a larger sales floor for books, maps and apparel. Included in the expansion will be an onsite garage and shop to properly and securely store FOJ's fleet of vehicles, OHV's and maintenance equipment.
