The following is a listing of OHV Program volunteer work that was completed in FY-02 in
the Ridgecrest Field Office. 
OHV Program
1.  Smitty's CORVA volunteers = 1,600 hours
2.  Friends of Jawbone (Rand monitoring, station operations) = 760 hours
3.  Moose Anderson Days = 890 hours

Full Report -
The following is a listing of volunteer work that was completed in FY-02 in
the Ridgecrest Field Office.  There were a total of 20,046 hours of
volunteer time recorded for FY-02   STEVE

Administration
1.  Margaret working front desk (public information, receptionist,
administrative work) = 1,590 hours

Range
1.  Range improvement monitoring = 425 hours
2.  Eagle scout project at Salt Wells Corrals =  55 hours
Total hours = 480 hours

Wildlife
1.  Desert Tortoise Preserve Committee = 1625 hours
2.  Black Water Well and Grass Valley wilderness  restoration =  90 hours
3.  Tortoise habitat signing, SEEP and monitoring (Carlin Pearia) = 45
hours
4.  Quail Unlimited wildlife water maintenance = 1,420 hours
5.  Audubon Society = 144 hours
6.  Other wildlife volunteers (Keith Exelson, Shelly Moore, others) = 240
hours
Total hours =  3,564 hours

Maintenance
1.  Fence repair and sign replacement (Carlin Pearia) = 36 hours
2.  Fencing (Robert Enrquez) = 18 hours

Cultural
1.  Field archeological studies at Bedrock and Christmas Canyon = 1,230
hours
2.  Site steward monitoring at 18 sites = 900 hours

Recreation
1.  Fossil Falls weekly monitoring = 270 hours
2.  Adopt-A-Cabin program coordinators (George, John, Tom, Lygeia, Joel,
John, Ron) = 750 hours
3.  Adopt-A-Cabin volunteer work at 35 cabins = 1,600 hours
4.  Earth Day Mesquite Canyon clean up = 210 hours
5.  Sand Canyon Environmental Education Program = 1,460 hours
6.  Boy Scout Eagle projects (5 projects:  mine shaft fencing, trailhead
development, trail work) =  260 hours
7.  Hands On The Land program volunteers = 340 hours
8.  Pacific Crest Trail Association (2 trail maintenance projects) = 1,400
hours
9.  Rademacher Hills Trail volunteer work (Diana Barretts' weekly clean
ups, sign monitoring/replacement) =  310 hours
10.  Friends of Siebert Cabin = 222
-6 4-hr. cabin work projects = 110 hours
-Power Point presentation = 20 hours
-2 Fossil Falls projects = 48 hours
-2 Rademacher Hills clean ups = 32 hours
-Short Canyon kiosk work = 12 hours
-Mine shaft safety training (4 x 7hrs.) = 28 hours

5.  Sacatar Trail and Inyo wilderness inventories (Tom Budlong) = 50 hours
6.  Desert Peaks Inyo Wilderness inventory = 320 hours
