Kern River Audubon Preserve
The 1,100-acre preserve is located along the South Fork of the Kern River and contains parts of the largest remaining cottonwood and willow stream-side forest. Nearby is the junction of five different biological regions, offering opportunities for viewing a wide variety of birds, plants, and animals. The preserve is managed by Audubon California and is open from sunrise to sunset.
