Walker Pass
In 1830, Joseph Walker became the first Caucasian to travel through the pass. The Pacific Crest National Scenic Trail (PCT) crosses the highway here, and just west of the pass is the BLM Walker Pass Campground with walk-in sites (a few drive-in sites for small motorhomes). Pit toilets and water are also found here. A spur trail leads from the campground to the PCT.
You can find this Discovery Point via GPS at N35.6629, W118.0263, or in section L-3 with the Jawbone Canyon OHV Map.
